The main treatment for food poisoning is replacing fluids into the body
(rehydration) .
Mild cases of food poisoning are often treated as gastroenteritis, with fluid
replacement and control of nausea and vomiting being the primary focus.
More serious cases should need medical care when the patient experiences
vomiting blood, a swollen abdomen or abdominal pain, problems breathing, and
yellow eyes or skin. |
